skyfall drone company

SkyFall profile

No: no reporting shows the SkyFall drone company with a stock-exchange listing, a ticker or an outside equity investor, so there is no SkyFall share to buy.

SkyFall is a Ukrainian maker of strike and interceptor drones that Kyiv Independent says launched in June 2022, and its chief executive is Mykola Makovieiev.

What SkyFall does

SkyFall designs and manufactures strike drones and interceptor drones, and runs an R&D centre, scalable production lines and the SkyFall Academy, according to its boilerplate in an Airbus press release. Its products range from first-person-view (FPV) drones that a SkyFall representative priced from about $300 to fixed-wing strike drones that SkyFall says cost $25,000 to $30,000.

SkyFall's prices have fallen: a SkyFall representative told Defender Media the Vampire fell from up to $20,000 at launch to $8,500. A SkyFall representative using the name "Ares" said exports would need government permission and must not weaken Ukraine's defence. Japan's defence minister has confirmed a contract for SkyFall interceptor drones, and Auterion says an unnamed European NATO nation funds a Shrike delivery executed jointly with SkyFall.

The product lines that define the company for research purposes:

  • Vampire: hexacopter bomber drone, nicknamed "Baba Yaga" by Russians
  • Shrike: FPV strike drone family with daytime, night-time and fibre-optic versions
  • Shrike 10 Fiber: fibre-optic Shrike co-developed with UK-based Skycutter
  • P1-SUN: interceptor drone built to take on Shahed-type drones
  • P1-SUN Long: P1-SUN version with an integrated AI module for autonomous target detection
  • P1-SUN JetKiller: P1-SUN version built to counter jet-powered drones
  • Thor Hammer: fixed-wing mid-strike drone offered in several range versions
  • SkyFall Academy: SkyFall's training centre for drone pilots

This profile is qualitative by design. It carries no share price, no price target, no valuation multiple, and no rating — those change faster than any page can honestly track, and the filings linked below are the authoritative source for them.

SkyFall drone lineup

The current public product record does not identify a complete aircraft lineup.

No complete-aircraft offering is catalogued for this company; it is tracked here as an unmanned-systems enabler.

Statuses are editorial classifications from the company’s current public catalog: active means currently presented for sale, delivery, or program work; development means publicly disclosed but not a mature production offering; legacy means retained for historical or installed-fleet coverage.

Recent contracts & awards

A dated log of the specific contracts, orders, funding, and deployments reported for SkyFall, each tied to its primary source. This is a record of what was announced — a "selection", "award", or "partnership" is not the same as obligated money, so read each source before treating a figure as revenue. No figure appears here unless a source reported it.

Is SkyFall going public?

SkyFall has no ticker. No source reviewed reports an initial public offering (IPO), a listing or an outside funding round. The UNITED24 Media company profile lists chief executive officer (CEO) Mykola Makovieiev as owner, and no source states SkyFall's legal form or a valuation.

A researcher can follow SkyFall through its contract, partnership and product announcements, which are dated in the contracts and awards log on this page.

Where SkyFall sits in the value chain

SkyFall is a pure-play: unmanned systems are the business rather than one line inside it, so the P&L moves with drone demand and has little else to cushion a slow procurement year.

Its disclosed activity spans aerial drones, counter-UAS. That placement is the single most useful thing to fix in your head before reading any coverage, because the same headline means different things at different layers: a large platform award is transformative for a pure-play, material but diluted for a diversified contractor, and only indirectly relevant to a component supplier whose exposure arrives later as build-rate demand.

Retail coverage routinely applies one story to all three layers at once. For the layer-by-layer comparison across the sector, see the drone stocks research shortlist and the list of publicly traded drone companies.

Can You Invest in SkyFall?

No source reviewed reports an IPO, a stock-exchange listing or a ticker for SkyFall, so there is no SkyFall stock to buy on an exchange. The UNITED24 Media company profile lists the owner as Mykola Makovieiev, whom it names as SkyFall's CEO. No outside equity investor, funding round or valuation appears in the reporting.

SkyFall's legal form is also unpublished. A Caplight page that surfaces in searches for "Skyfall" describes Skyfall AI, a San Francisco company founded in 2023, which is a different business from the Ukrainian drone maker.

SkyFall's reported deals with Airbus, Auterion, Skycutter and Poland's Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) are memoranda, delivery contracts or co-development work, and none is reported as an equity stake. Readers who want listed exposure to the sector can compare publicly traded companies on the defense drone stocks page.

SkyFall's Product Line

SkyFall builds four main drone families: the Vampire hexacopter bomber, Shrike FPV strike drones, P1-SUN interceptors and the Thor Hammer fixed-wing strike drone. Defense Express gives the Vampire a payload of up to 15 kg, a 45 km communications range and 80 km/h, while Armada International lists a 20 km range.

Defense Express puts the Vampire's price at about $8,500. The Vampire cost up to $20,000 at launch, according to Defense Express. Armada International gives 7 to 10 inch Shrike quadrotors up to 3 kg of payload, up to 30 km of range and up to 120 km/h.

A SkyFall representative told Defender Media that Shrikes cost from about $300 for the cheapest daytime model to $1,500 for the night-time and fibre-optic version. The same representative put the P1-SUN interceptor at about $1,000, and SkyFall told Militarnyi its JetKiller variant reaches 370 km/h with a 500 g warhead.

SkyFall's figures, published by Defender Media, give the Thor Hammer 350 km and 600 km versions, a 40 to 50 kg warhead and a $25,000 to $30,000 cost.

Production Scale Claims

Every SkyFall production figure comes from SkyFall itself, and the Vampire is the only product with a stated output rate. Defense Express reports that a SkyFall representative using the pseudonym "Nirmata" said at World Defense Show 2026 that annual Vampire output had reached 100,000. Defense Express works that out as more than 8,300 a month.

The earlier rate was 50,000 a year. Defender Media wrote the same month that SkyFall "can produce 100,000 bombers per month", which conflicts with the annual figure. No source corrects either one.

For interceptors, SkyFall estimated capacity of up to 50,000 a month and said 5,000 to 10,000 could be exported without harming Ukraine, according to Reuters reporting relayed by LIGA.net. For the Thor Hammer, SkyFall's end-of-2026 target rose from 1,000 a month, reported by Militarnyi in August, to 5,000 a month at its October unveiling.

A SkyFall representative told Defender Media that about 20,000 people had been trained at the SkyFall Academy over the past two years.

Reports of Strikes on SkyFall Facilities

No source confirms that Russia has struck a SkyFall factory. Ukrainska Pravda, citing SkyFall's press service via Interfax-Ukraine, reported that US Senator Lindsey Graham toured a SkyFall production facility on 11 July 2026. IBTimes UK reported that a Kyiv drone facility was among defence sites targeted in a large Russian strike that day, with Ukraine's air force counting 440 drones and 32 missiles.

The IBTimes UK headline ties the strike to Graham's visit. The IBTimes UK article itself says Ukrainian authorities had not identified the SkyFall site as one of those hit. Lead Stories rated as "unverified" a 12 July post on X claiming Russia "blew up" the facility Graham visited.

Lead Stories found that the Russian defence ministry's 11 July posts named drone-related sites in Kyiv without linking either one to SkyFall. The location of SkyFall's plants is unpublished beyond a UNITED24 Media report from April 2025 describing a hidden SkyFall factory in the capital.

Partnerships and Foreign Interest

Airbus Defence and Space and SkyFall signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at ILA Berlin on 12 June 2026.

The Airbus release ties the MoU to the European Sky Shield Initiative and discloses no financial terms. Kyiv Post reported a second MoU, signed on 26 June with Poland's state-owned BGK, to explore projects eligible for financing under Pillar II of the European Commission's Ukraine Facility. Auterion says delivery of 50,000 SkyFall Shrikes fitted with Auterion Strike kits began in July 2026, funded by an unnamed European NATO nation. The Defense Post says the Shrike 10 Fiber, built with UK-based Skycutter, scored 99.3 points in the first round of the Pentagon's Drone Dominance program and was ranked third overall by operators. Kyiv Independent describes the same result as first place.

Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said his ministry "has already signed a contract with Ukraine's Skyfall to acquire interceptor drones", per Kyiv Post. A SkyFall representative told Breaking Defense that the Vampire is on the Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) Blue UAS List and that US manufacturing may be possible "regulations permitting".

What SkyFall Does Not Publish

SkyFall does not publish revenue, profit, valuation or headcount in any source reviewed for this profile. The names of SkyFall's founders, its legal form and its ownership structure beyond the UNITED24 Media line naming Makovieiev are not reported. The number and location of SkyFall's plants are unpublished, apart from the factory in the capital described by UNITED24 Media.

Actual monthly output for the Shrike, P1-SUN and Thor Hammer is unpublished, because SkyFall gives only capacity figures and end-of-year targets for them. Contract terms are thin: Japan's purchase has no published model, quantity or value, and Auterion does not name the NATO nation paying for the Shrike delivery.

SkyFall's interceptor kill totals vary by date and scope. CEO Makovieiev cited more than 10,000 Russian drones in the Airbus release. Reuters, via UNITED24 Media, relayed a SkyFall figure of more than 5,500 for the original P1-SUN.

None of these totals is independently verified, so each should be read as the claim of the party that made it, matched to its dated source.

What to watch

The signals worth tracking are structural, not price-based — they tell you whether the business is changing shape, which is what eventually shows up in the numbers.

  • Any report of an outside equity investor, funding round or listing plan for SkyFall, since none has been reported.
  • Whether the Japanese interceptor contract gains a published model, quantity and value, and whether the US and Qatar talks reported by Reuters produce a signed order.
  • Delivered output against announced targets: SkyFall publishes capacity and end-of-year goals for the Thor Hammer and JetKiller, and no source confirms actual serial production of JetKiller.
  • Progress on localisation, including the Vampire version without Chinese components and fully local Shrikes, which SkyFall says are not yet mass-produced.
  • Whether the Airbus and BGK memoranda turn into funded contracts with disclosed terms.

How to research SkyFall

Every question below has one authoritative source, and using the wrong source is how most retail research goes wrong.

Research questionWhere the answer livesWhat to look for
Is there anything to buy?SEC EDGAR full-text searchWhether any registration statement exists at all — absent one, there is no public security.
Is the government work real?Official DoD contract announcementsAwarding service and scope of work, rather than a company-issued announcement.
What is the acquisition pathway?DIU and DARPA program pagesWhether the work runs through non-traditional agreements or a conventional program of record.
How would exposure even work?Fund holdings disclosuresWhether any listed vehicle discloses a stake — indirect exposure is usually thin and unstated.

One failure mode is worth naming explicitly: a company announcement describing a "selection", "award", or "partnership" is not the same as obligated money, and the two are easy to conflate because they use the same vocabulary. Check the official record before treating either as revenue. Our full approach is documented on the methodology page.
