A military drone company, for this page, is any manufacturer whose aircraft or loitering munitions are built primarily for defense customers rather than consumer or commercial markets. That excludes DJI-style photography drones even where a government agency happens to buy one, and it excludes counter-drone vendors, which we cover separately on counter UAS.
This is a company map, not a stock screen. Several of the manufacturers named below have no public ticker at all, and naming a company here is not a claim that it is investable. The US pure-play tier is where drone revenue is closest to being the whole business, rather than one line inside a much larger portfolio.

Europe, Turkey, and Israel
Outside the United States, the strongest military-drone footprint sits with a handful of Turkish, Israeli, and pan-European manufacturers, and the public-versus-private split does not track national wealth the way it might seem to.

China and Russia: manufacturers that exist, but sit outside this directory
State-linked manufacturers in China and Russia build military drones at real scale, and pretending otherwise would leave a gap a reader could trip over. China's Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is the state-owned aerospace group behind the Wing Loong export UAS line, and Russia's state-owned Kalashnikov Concern produces the Lancet loitering munition through its ZALA Aero unit.
Neither company is profiled or ticker-mapped on this site. Both are state-owned or state-linked entities headquartered in jurisdictions where a US or European retail investor has no ordinary, sanctions-compliant way to buy shares, and we are not aware of a legitimate listed vehicle for either. If a promotional site offers you a way to invest directly in a Chinese or Russian military-drone manufacturer, treat that as a warning sign rather than an opportunity, and check the OFAC sanctions list before engaging with any entity connected to either company.

Not every company on this page competes the same way, and conflating the three roles below is the single most common mistake in casual coverage of this sector.

Choose the lens that matches your question. If you are tracking who wins a specific program, the airframe manufacturer is the right unit of analysis. If you are tracking who controls the mission outcome across a fleet, look at the integrator. If you want exposure that does not live or die with one platform, the subsystem supplier is the more durable bet, and often the least covered of the three.
The UK and India: A Rising Manufacturer Tier
The United Kingdom (UK) and India field defense drone makers supplying tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems to armed forces. Founded in 2013 in Maidenhead, England, Malloy Aeronautics builds all-electric quadcopter vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) logistics drones. Its T-650 carries a maximum 300-kilogram payload over ranges up to 30 kilometers for UK and United States (US) military customers.
BAE Systems acquired Malloy Aeronautics in February 2024 and merged it into BAE's FalconWorks division. BAE Systems also collaborates with QinetiQ on drone technology. As a UK military science and technology company, QinetiQ builds the Banshee target drone and runs UAV testing, evaluation, and autonomy programs.
In India, ideaForge Technology manufactures the SWITCH UAV, a hybrid VTOL and fixed-wing unmanned aircraft used by the Indian Army. The Indian Army signed a contract worth approximately $20 million with ideaForge in January 2021 to procure SWITCH UAVs. In May 2025, following Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army placed an emergency order worth approximately ₹137 crore with ideaForge for hybrid mini UAVs.
ideaForge completed its initial public offering (IPO) in 2023. It trades on India's National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). That listing makes ideaForge one of the only publicly traded companies in this directory section, connecting to the guide on publicly traded drone companies.
Why company status is harder to track than the aircraft itself
Public status changes more often, and more quietly, than product names do. When we build company-directory pages like this one across drone and defense sub-sectors of this site, the recurring gap is that press coverage names the aircraft in the headline and buries or omits the ownership question entirely, even though "who owns this and can I buy it" is usually the more decision-relevant fact for a reader building a watchlist. A company that was private last year can list through a SPAC, an acquisition can fold a familiar name into a larger parent's ticker, and a state-owned manufacturer can announce a partial listing without becoming genuinely investable for a retail account. None of that shows up in a product spec sheet.
The fix is mechanical rather than clever: before treating any company on this page as investable, check its own investor-relations or newsroom page directly, then confirm against SEC EDGAR full-text search for US-listed names or the relevant home-market exchange filing for foreign issuers. A name appearing in a defense headline is not the same claim as a name appearing on an exchange.
